We have recently learnt that the Home Office has approved our application to sponsor a second refugee family of 6. They will arrive towards the end of September.
At present we are busy preparing the house and making the arrangements to support the family in the weeks and months after they arrive.
We have had a wonderful response to our appeal for household items to make the house comfortable and welcoming for them. Thank you so much to everyone who has already donated.
We still need a few items

a taller bedside table or small cupboard (approx 36" high)
rugs
6 bedside lights
rotary clothes line
garden furniture (foldable and light as it needs to be carried up steps)
gardening tools
2 doormats
washing up bowl
long net curtains (70"width and 80" drop)
70" curtain rail
coat stand
2 shoe racks
bicycles
(We are always in need of bicycles both for the new arrivals, and for the community of refugees who are settling in the area)
